The Nail Bites: Radiant Orchid with The Polish Bar Orchid 2014

Hi everyone! In the group of polishes that was sent to me from The Polish Bar was the absolutely stunning Orchid 2014 (review coming soon!). Of course I had to create some orchid-themed nail art to go with it! Naturally, Chalkboard Nails' stunning orchid mani was on my mind, which is near impossible to top. Instead, I decided to do something less detailed.

The Nail Bites: Aly's Dream Polish in Dreamy Amethyst

Hi everyone! I got lazy last week in terms of posting, so I'm easing back into blogging with a short post. Sometimes if I think about the larger posts that are on my to-do list, or the challenges that I'm playing catch-up with, it gets overwhelming and I don't post. But don't let the brief post be a reflection on the polish. I think this colour is so gorgeous and I'm a bit sad that I wasn't able to capture it fully.

Disclaimer: I think the polish is a tad darker in person than you see in my swatch photos - still very pretty though!

The Nail Bites: Faded Roses

Hi everyone! Although it does not look like it, this work was originally inspired by Warhol's screen prints. I remember in some of his works, how he would repeat an image then gradually fade it as it reads from one side of the work to the other. You can see this in one of his Marilyn works at the Tate.

The Nail Bites: City Flourish Florals

Hi everyone! Last night I showed you the first half of the China Glaze City Flourish collection. Well I've really enjoyed using these for nail art, the brighter colours just make me so happy. Many months ago I posted some flowers I did inspired by Mr Candiipants, so I decided to do them again. The technique is really simple - you just use the brush in the nail polish bottle to paint the petals.

The Nail Bites: Lynnderella Aquamarine Calm

Hi everyone! So the other week I posed the idea of doing shorter, bite-sized posts that would be mixed in with my regular posts. Well, I figured my new shortie posts should have their own name...The Nail Bites! ;)

Every week the Love Lynnderella Facebook page hosts a giveaway, and you can gain extra entries by posting a mani with the POTW (polish of the week). This week it was Aquamarine Calm, so it was the perfect opportunity to pull out one of my untrieds.
