Hi everyone! Last night I showed you the Modern Vamp collection coming soon to my shop, and tonight I have the second collection to be released - the Anniversary Collection! That's right, I've been in business for a year now, and to celebrate I decided to release some polishes that I've been working on and am very excited about. I'm also having a sale this weekend, and you can get all the details at the end of this post.

The Latest From Renaissance Cosmetics: The Modern Vamp Collection
Hi everyone! Happy Thanksgiving to my American readers. It's been a long time since I've released a themed collection in my shop. But with my dissertation finished I was able to mix up some new polishes, and finalize others which I had planned to release awhile ago but didn't have the time. So this Sunday, I'll be introducing not one, but two new collections.

A England Elizabeth & Mary Collection, Swatches and Review
Hi everyone! Unless you've been in a Buddhist monastery for the last month or so, completely shut off from the outside world, I'm sure you have by now heard of the new A England Elizabeth & Mary collection. I gave you a sneak peak last week when I did stained glass roses using four out of the five polishes in the collection. I'm back now with a full review. If you haven't yet picked up anything from this collection, or you are not sure if you need these polishes (short answer - yes you need them!), I hope my swatches will help.

Girly Bits A Twinkle in Time: Swatches, Review and Nail Art
Hi everyone! Girly Bits A Twinkle in Time is the December contribution to Llarowe's A Box, Indied subscription box. I've had the pleasure of reviewing several Girly Bits polishes for this box, and all of them have been fabulous. This one is no different and fits the holiday theme of the box perfectly. I also decided to do some simple nail art with this polish, something that would be perfect for a holiday party or whenever you want a touch of shimmer.

The Digit-al Dozen Does Thankfulness: Day Five, History
Hi everyone! This is embarrassingly late, but I'm happy to round off another Digit-al Dozen week, even if it does seep into the week after! When deciding what to do for day five, I tossed around a few fun ideas. I had the new A England collection sitting on my desk, generously sent to me from Nail Polish Canada, and it suddenly dawned on me.
For so many years I've been interested in learning about history, and I'm officially an Art Historian now. So it only seemed natural to pay tribute to my love of history. And A England is the perfect brand to do some nail art, because more than any other brand it's known for drawing inspiration from history, art and literature.

The Digit-al Dozen Does Thankfulness: Day Four, Art
Hi everyone! I'm continuing on with the Digit-al Dozen Thankfulness week, and so far the things I've expressed gratitude towards have been mostly little things - food, coffee, glitter. Today's post I think falls in between the realms of little things and big things. It really depends on your perspective towards art.

The Digit-al Dozen Does Thankfulness: Day Three, Glitter
Hi everyone! This week has been very busy as I've been gearing up for a Prototype Sale in my shop. I've been mixing up a lot of new polishes, so I thought I'd use two of them for some simple nail art.
As an indie maker (still feels weird to refer to myself that way) I get to play with glitter all the time. But if you told me two or three years ago that I'd have a ginormous glitter collection, I probably would have scoffed at you. Now I have glitters in every colour of the rainbow, in different sizes, finishes, even some cool shapes (although I'm not big into shape glitter). It's such a huge part of making polish, so tonight's mani is my glitter tribute.

The Digit-al Dozen Does Thankfulness: Day One, Yummy Sushi
Hi everyone! This week the Digit-al Dozen turns to the theme of thankfulness in all it's widest forms. I have so much to be thankful for - family, health, my completed PhD, but in the end I decided to look at the little things I'm thankful for, rather than trying to depict big weighty themes. So for day one, I'm looking at one of my favourite foods - yummy sushi!

Classic Galaxy Nails With Spell Polish
Hi everyone! Earlier this week I showed you three polishes from Spell Polish's collection "A Charm of Powerful Trouble" inspired by Macbeth. I had a few ideas for these gorgeous blue colours. In the end I decided on monochromatic galaxy nails. The beautiful shimmers in each one really lend themselves to a galaxy look, and they didn't disappoint!

Spell Polish Eye of Newt, Lizard's Leg, and Tongue of Dog: Swatches and Review
Hi everyone! Today I have a brand that's new to this blog. Spell Polish comes out of New York, and I'll admit I was really excited when the maker Heatheraven contacted me. This brand has some of the best packaging in the industry (as you can see from this nail mail photo on my Instagram), and every time I look at the site, I get serious logo envy. But they also have a wide array of fun colours including holos, shimmers, glitters, multi chromes, and neons. I was sent three polishes from the "A Charm of Powerful Trouble" collection inspired by Macbeth.

Mentality Nail Polish Glazes: Swatches, Review and Nail Art
Hi everyone! In the indie scene, Mentality Nail Polish is known for their bare bones, minimal labelling and packaging, and their wide array of colours and finishes that are perfect for all kinds of nail art. Their "no frills" style is appealing and means that they are more affordable than many indie polishes on the market. I was fortunate enough to receive some gorgeous nail mail from Hillary and Danny, the husband and wife team behind the brand. So expect to see some Mentality features over the next few weeks on this blog!
Today I'm reviewing four polishes from their Glaze line - Yellow, Coral, Aqua and Red-Purple. I've also got some intricate geometric nail art for you, so make sure to check out the rest of the post!
