The Digit-al Dozen Does Winter Wonderland: Day Three, Poinsettia Flowers

Hi everyone! Tonight's post is a quick one on account of my waning energy levels. For day three of the Digit-al Dozen Winter Wonderland week, I'm doing another holiday design. When I think of the holidays, I think of poinsettia flowers, something my mom would always buy. So I put together this quick, sketchy look, featuring one of my new releases - Renaissance Cosmetics An Eternal Doll.

To get this look:

I used nail polish thinner to get the thin wash look with the colours. Everything was done freehand with nail polish.

  • Base: Renaissance Cosmetics An Eternal Doll (see my swatches here)
  • Flowers: Essie Snap Happy and OPI Jade is the New Black
  • Outline: Cult Nails Nevermore
  • Top coats: Girly Bits What a Rush and Essie Matte About You

Final thoughts:

I originally had painted all four nails, but I didn't like the flowers on my index and pinky. I'm glad I removed the design from those nails, I like the simplicity here. The other thing I love is An Eternal Doll matted. It has this soft milky look that I think is awesome. Also there's a subtle sheen where the gold shimmer was.

What do you think of this? Do poinsettias remind you of the holidays?

  2. Stunning. I love the base polish. The colors in the poinsettia really bring out the little flecks in it. I live the textured vintage look.
