Live Love Polish Review: UNT Pastels

Hi everyone! I've got some gorgeous pastel shades from online retailer Live Love Polish for you tonight. Live Love Polish is based out of New York and they have a wide variety of mainstream brand polishes, and some indie brands too. I was sent a few polishes from UNT to review - this is a brand based out of Taiwan and Live Love Polish is the only US store to carry them. LLP carries a wide range of UNT polishes, so if you like these, definitely check out their site!

Live Love Polish UNT review

Although pastels don't really seem appropriate for winter, I've been enjoying these lighter shades. You can see them in my recent intricate floral nail art, and my pastel snowflakes. As far as cremes go, these polishes are great for wearing on their own, using as a base for glitter, or using in nail art.

Formula and application:

All four polishes go on very even and smooth. The coverage on them was good, but they all required three coats to get full coverage and even out any patchiness. The UNT polishes have a wide flat brush that makes application easy. The only issue I had is with the nude, which tended to flood my cuticles. Otherwise no issues to report.

The polishes:

Breakup Blues is the one I was most excited about. This is a pale baby blue with delicate pink/gold shimmer. The shimmer is very subtle and not as apparent on the nail unfortunately. The colour is still beautiful though. This was 3 coats.

Heartbreaker is a nice pale pink creme. The colour lies somewhere in between a pastel and a neon. In other words, it's bright but not *that* bright. It's a great fun, girly colour and very versatile. This was 3 coats.

Jealousy is a pale mint creme. This is a nice colour, it doesn't make my hands look red, and although the colour is pastel, it's not washed out. This was 3 coats.

Lost Road Map is a pale neutral nude. I really love the colour on this one and it's a perfect base for nail art. It's not too brown, yellow or grey in colour. In other words, the very neutral tone I think makes it wearable for more people.

Final thoughts:

I already knew these colours were great for nail art. But now after trying them, I'm happy to see they are also nice on their own. I'm really looking forward to trying more from this brand. My favourite is Breakup Blues, followed by Lost Road Map.

UNT is available at Live Love Polish and they retail for $8. They offer free US shipping on orders over $20 and they also have affordable international shipping.

What do you think of these? Which one is your favourite?

  1. I think we start the fall/winter polishes so early that by the time Christmas rolls around, I am already thinking of neons and pastels. These are so gorgeous and look super creamy and wonderful

  6. Beautiful pastels. It is so hard to find pastels that don't wash out the skin. The nude is one of the best neutrals I've seen but bummer that it flooded the cuticles.
