Essie Fall 2014 flowers |
About this design:
I wanted to do something fun, abstract and kind of funky. This was inspired by one of my Pinterest images, but I used the colours from the Essie Fall 2014 collection instead. I rather like how this turned out and it was so easy to do - always a bonus!

To get this look:
I used all the polishes from the Essie Fall 2014 collection except for one. The entire design was painted freehand using my Winstonia Kolinsky Sable brush. You want to keep things loose and abstract, so don't try to paint the flowers perfectly. Same with the dots, they're actually more dabs than dots - you wouldn't want to use a dotting tool here.

Final thoughts:
The Perfect Cover Up was the only one from this collection I wasn't able to use. I really like these fall colours and I'll have swatches on the blog very soon!

ReplyDeletePretty floral nails these are!
ReplyDeleteLove the colour scheme! Your other florals reminded me of pencil drawings and these remind me of ink drawings :) beautiful!
ReplyDeletePersonally I feel the blue has a too strong contrast against the red, but the shape and style of these flowers is amazing!
ReplyDeleteSo you run an art blog, a group, and a company, all while working towards your phd? Holy smokes, woman, you are AMAZING!! Congratulations on graduating, I'd say you earned your early bedtime and then some. Digging the beefeater hat, too-- are you totally going to find ways to wear it around town? :)
