Faded linen roses nail art |
About this look:
Much of the nail art I do takes about 3-4 hours, so today I only had about 2 hours before I had to get ready to go out to dinner. For most people this would be plenty of time, for me it rules out detailed or intricate nail art. Not having as much time, I turned to something I feel very comfortable with - roses. But I decided to give them a faded/distressed look. It reminds me of a faded piece of linen with a rose print.

Final thoughts:
The roses get a bit lost with the distressed/faded look, but that's also the point. Although it's a fairly simple design, I appreciate the texture that you get with this technique. If you can't tell I'm kind of obsessed with distressed/grungy textures.

What do you think of this? Does any of the nail art from this week's Digit-al Dozen challenge stand out to you?

I really those, because they're possibly easy to paint even with your non-dominant hand. Will try them out soon!
ReplyDeleteI really like the roughness of this design - adds to the beauty of it.

ReplyDeleteSuch a great design... love the faded touch
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are lovely but it's that background that's got me floored. I'm starting to feel like a broken record on here... Is there no end to your talent?! lol. You just seem to know exactly what you're doing with each color. Just beautiful. Do any of the challenges stand out to me... The watercolor poppies, I think, are my favorites.

ReplyDeleteLovely, kinda feels like a vinyl table cloth that has been used one too many times - with the print a bit scratched and faded but still loved because the flowers are so cute :).
