Hi everyone! Happy Fourth of July if you celebrate! Obviously I'm in Canada, so it was just another day here. But I lived in the US for many years and have family there, so I was feeling in the mood to do some nail art for the holiday.
I decided to do a patriotic twist on my previous intricate stripe designs (seen here and here). I also wanted to add some variation, so I added the stars. Everything was painted freehand.

I really love how this turned out, and I think it was a fun look for the holiday. I really don't get tired of these stripe designs. I like that it has stars and stripes without screaming "Flag!" Not that there's anything wrong with flags! ;)

DeleteYour freehand artwork totally blows me away! It's so perfectly straight and delicate!
ReplyDeleteAwwww... thanks! There are some imperfections and a few places where I needed to do touch ups, but luckily you don't notice it so much in the final mani.
Deletegreat freehand work! don't know how you managed to do you're right hand (if you're right handed that is!) love it!
ReplyDeleteThank you Lolly! I actually don't do my intricate, detailed work on my right (dominant) hand. I'm not ambidextrous, and I'd rather work on new designs and being creative than learning to do intricate work with my left hand. I had a simple skittle mani on my right hand. :)
DeleteLove this! Very vintage Americana :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ali! I never thought of it as vintage, but I can get how you would see that - cool! :)
