I'm Back! And Happy Canada Day!

Hi everyone! Look, a blog post! Thank you everyone who commented on my last update post - I really appreciated all the support. In case you missed it, I've been finishing up my dissertation this past month and a half. I'm not 100% finished, but I have a bit of a break while my committee looks over everything, so I'm going to take some time to schedule some posts.

As for my life this past month and a half - let's just say I'm eager to get back to blogging. I think things can be summed up with this picture...

Yeah, so on to the nail art. It's Canada Day here, so I thought I'd do some patriotic nail art. It's not one for the Hall of Fame, but considering that I haven't done any nail art for over a month, I think it's pretty good. I do need a little bit more practice with the Nail Vinyls though.

To get this look: The white base is Cult Nails Tempest, and the glitter is my Lynnderella custom Oh Canada! The red is Renaissance Cosmetics Rosie-Osie, and I used Nail Vinyls for the chevrons and the straight lines. The heart was freehanded and I added a dab of the Lynnderella.

So tell me - any Canadians out there? What did you do for Canada Day? What are you looking forward to seeing here now that I'm blogging again?

  8. Happy Canada Day. Enjoy your little breather. It won't be long now and you'll have that dissertation in your rear view mirror. But for today, just revel in rainbow of polish.
