The Nail Bites: Aly's Dream Polish in Dreamy Amethyst

Hi everyone! I got lazy last week in terms of posting, so I'm easing back into blogging with a short post. Sometimes if I think about the larger posts that are on my to-do list, or the challenges that I'm playing catch-up with, it gets overwhelming and I don't post. But don't let the brief post be a reflection on the polish. I think this colour is so gorgeous and I'm a bit sad that I wasn't able to capture it fully.

Disclaimer: I think the polish is a tad darker in person than you see in my swatch photos - still very pretty though!

I was sent several polishes from Aly's Dream Polish. This one is from the ongoing DreamStone collection - one new polish each month with a birthstone theme.

Aly's Dream Polish Dreamy Amethyst

Dreamy Amethyst is a ultramarine blue with a blue/pink shimmer and a subtle holo effect. The shimmer is quite beautiful, and although the pink shimmer is shy in these photos, it's not so much in person. The subtle holo effect is also more intense in the sun.

The formula was good. I found it to be a bit thicker than other polishes from this brand, but still very manageable. I used 2 coats for these swatches.

If you love blues, this is a stunner and it seriously sparkles in the sun - well it sparkles almost all of the time, but especially in the sun! This is limited edition and there is currently a preorder, so if you are interested, act now!

Aly's Dream Polish is available on Store Envy, and updates are available through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

What do you think of this polish? Do you like birthstone collections?

  1. What a gorgeous colour. I don't think I've ever seen something by Aly's Dream Polish I didn't like!
