Nire's Desire, Techno Collection Phase Two: Drowning, Pleasure Island and Transatlantic

Hi everyone! The other day I showed you a preview of three polishes from Nire's Desire with some peacock nail art. And as promised I have swatches and a review of those three polishes. These are from the Techno Collection, Phase Two - six holographic polishes that are all blue shades and when put together form a perfect ombre effect. There was also a Phase One to this collection that consisted of some gorgeous rose to violet coloured holos - Sassy Shelly has some beautiful swatches of that collection.

This was my first experience with this brand, and I was so impressed. Beautiful colours, excellent formula, and a shop full of drool-inducing polishes. I had such a good first experience that I'm eager to try more polishes from this brand.

Formula and application: For the most part, the formula and application were the same on all three. The formula was excellent - perfect consistency and not too thin or thick. Application was also great - the polishes go on evenly and are perfectly self-leveling. I used three coats for all swatches, although you can probably get away with two.

Drowning is a gorgeous cobalt blue holo with a very subtle blue shimmer. The shimmer is not too noticeable on the nail, but the holo is. I would describe it as a medium linear holo - not subtle but not overly strong.

Pleasure Island is a bluish-teal holo with a very noticeable gold/teal shimmer. The holo effect is pretty subtle but the shimmer is not - in fact it's quite stunning. I love this one, because in the sun you have the benefit of the holo effect, and in low-light the shimmer comes out. In fact, it's my favourite of the bunch.

Transatlantic is a blackened blue-teal holo. Of the three this one has the strongest holo effect. While I love this shade, I think we've seen this colour of holo before. However, if you don't already own a holo like this, I would recommend it.
