GOT Polish Challenge, Pastels: Springtime Florals So Adorable They Defy Categorization!!!

Hi everyone! This title might be a *slight* exaggeration. This is my way of saying, "I don't know what to call this design!" Earlier in the year I started the GOT Polish Challenge, but unfortunately I fell off the bandwagon. Basically you are supposed to use older polishes in your collection - which falls in line with my goal to use what I have instead of buying new polishes. So I'm going to try and jump back into the challenge, at least as much as I can.

The difficult part of this challenge is remembering what you own, especially since you're supposed to use polishes you've owned for a year. For this design I used all but one of the polishes from the Models Own Ice Cream Sundae collection. I don't know if I've owned these for a full year, but let's pretend - okay!?

About this design: This was completely inspired by my little green sprouts design I did for The Digit-al Dozen monochrome week. I wanted to maintain the simplicity, but add a bit more colour and a floral design.

To get this look: I started with a base of Cult Nails Tempest. Then I did a subtle gradient using Models Own Lemon Meringue and Jade Stone. I painted the flowers, butterfly and sun with Models Own Jade Stone, Lemon Meringue, Fuzzy Peach, Beth's Blue, and Pastel Pink. The lines were then done with Cult Nails Fetish and OPI Vant to Bite My Neck?

There's one more polish in the Ice Cream Sundae collection - Lilac Dream - and the fact that it's not used here was just an oversight.

  10. LOVE it! I am always amazed at how you manage to make your outlines look purposely imperfect. When I try that it just looks like I made a mistake! It's so pretty :)
