The Digit-al Dozen isn't really a brand per se, but bloggers often talk about their "brand" or "branding" themselves, so this design plays off that.
About this design: If you visit The Digit-al Dozen website, you'll see that I took inspiration from our logo and the colour scheme of our blog. The crown relates to the "Queen Series." All of us have our own queen names that relate to our nail art specialties (mine is Queen of Intricate Nail Art), and so we're doing a series every Wednesday featuring each queen.

To get this look: I started with a base of Girly Bits Elephant Shoe, my favourite grey creme. I then did a gradient using Elephant Shoe and China Glaze Fuchsia Fanatic. The crown and logo were freehanded with Elephant Shoe, Fuchsia Fantasy, Cult Nails Tempest, and Cult Nails Fetish. The black and white glitter is a prototype for my shop, Renaissance Cosmetics - it still needs adjustments, but it's something I hope to release in a few weeks.

Overall: Admittedly, it's not my favourite design of the week - that would go to my Kodachrome design, with my Erin Condren design coming in second. But it was nice to use this week to also commemorate things that are important to me, like my indie brand, and this nail art group that I'm a part of.

DeleteAdorable!
ReplyDeleteI love this. That crown looks amazing, I'm super jealous of your freehand abilities ;)
ReplyDeleteKodachrome was my favorite too, though I'm a huge kodachrome nerd, but I think it's spot on trend for all the distressed and vintage inspired clothing we'll be seeing this summer. A print out of it may or may not be living on my RL inspiration bulletin board <3
LOVE this girl!!
