The Digit-al Dozen Does Vintage: Country Floral

Hi everyone! I've got some work deadlines coming up so my posting may be sporadic for the rest of the week, but I'm hoping to get my Digit-al Dozen posts up by the weekend. I still have one more design to post, and one more to paint, and I'm really looking forward to both!

About this design: I'll admit, when trying to come up with ideas, I did generic searches for vintage prints and patterns. This design was the result of one of my google searches. I was so afraid I was going to mess it up. I started with my pinky and instantly ruined the nail and had to redo it, but after that bump in the road it was all smooth sailing! I'll admit it was time consuming, yet totally worth it because I love how cute this looks!

To get this look: I started with a base of OPI My Vampire is Buff (my go-to vintage-look polish). For my two middle nails I taped off the middle section and painted the tops and bottoms with China Glaze For Audrey. The flowers and dots are Renaissance Cosmetics Taffeta Gown. I love this one for florals because of the colour and the great coverage. The lines and details were done with OPI Vant To Bite My Neck?

Overall: Like I said, time consuming, but well worth it. I wore this to school one day and did some matching freehand roses on my right hand. At first I had some difficulty with the line-work, but the trick is to use some thinner and a very light touch.

What do you think of this design? Do you love floral designs like I do?
