Girly Bits Get Weaponized and Merry Christmas!

Hi everyone! Merry Christmas if you celebrate, and if you don't, I hope you had a relaxing day of movies and Chinese food! It seems odd to be wearing a polish with such an aggressive name for my Xmas mani, but I couldn't have asked for something more perfect, or gorgeous. It also was the ideal base for some snowflakes so make sure to check out the full post.

Girly Bits Get Weaponized

About this polish: Get Weaponized was a collaboration with Nail Polish Wars for her two-year blog anniversary. It's been awhile since I've seen such a unique polish. It has a vivid teal base with lots of shimmery micro-glitter and fuchsia micro-flakes. I love the combination of teal and fuchsia, and it's that combination that makes the polish so eye-catching for me. It also has a subtle holo shimmer, which I'm attributing to the micro-glitter.

The formula was excellent, it goes on very smooth and effortlessly. No issues with the consistency or it being uneven. I used three coats for these swatches.

To get this look: I tried to pair this polish with white, I really did, but it just didn't look right to me, so I turned to my trusted OPI My Vampire is Buff. The gold glitter is KBShimmer We Three Blings from last year's holiday collection. I did a glitter gradient on my ring finger, and layered it over MViB on my pinky.

For the snowflakes I painted them in gold (Orly Luxe) followed by Get Weaponized. They aren't very defined but I rather like that. I also like the incredible shimmer of the snowflakes. I layered a very light coat of We Three Blings over the snowflakes to give them added shimmer.

For a holiday mani, it's rather simple, but I love the teal/gold combination. Since I am visiting family for the holidays, and had a fair amount of work before I left,  I just didn't have time for very complicated nail art.

What do you think of this? What are you wearing on your nails over the holidays?

  1. You are hilarious. Actually I did have asian food. It's pretty much all that was open. I felt like I was living A Christmas Story movie, ha ha ha. Merry Christmas!

    1. Hahaha! For the first time I saw A Christmas Story all the way through (before I've only seen small clips). The Chinese food scene is hilarious, got to love that Chinese turkey! ;) Last year my sister and I had pho, some years I do the Christmas thing with family and other years not. :)

  2. Love that Girly Bits, will try to get my hands on that. And the resulting nail art is pretty!
I wore Zoya Payton for Thanksgiving, and Zoya Dream for (actual) Christmas. Last week it was red and green NOPI textures and gold JulieG textures.

    1. I highly recommend the Girly Bits, I think it may even be a contender for one of my top polishes of the year! And you holiday manis sound great! I don't have any of the new Zoya polishes, and I'd love to get some of the new Julie G textures! :)

  4. I really love the final combination you came up with, especially the snow flakes! It's funny because I had my first allergen free pizza last night and it was better than any Christmas dinner haha!

    1. Thank you Erin! It sounds like a great Christmas! I'm not particular about having a traditional Christmas dinner, I think if you make a special meal, it's still great.
