Femme Fatale Cosmetics Swatches

Hello everyone! Things have been quiet over hear on account of work, but I'm very excited to be showing you some Femme Fatale swatches tonight!

Femme Fatale Cosmetics, an indie brand and distributor based in Australia, is probably amongst my favourite indie brands. They are constantly introducing polishes that become lemmings for me. Also they make and sell gorgeous mineral eyeshadows - I bought some a few months ago, and I seriously use them at least 2-3 times per week. If you have not checked them out, I encourage you to do so!

I was sent four polishes to review. With the exception of Bottle of Infinite Stars, I believe these are not new releases.

Bottle of Infinite Stars is a dark blue jelly with different coloured blue and silver hex glitter and silver stars. It also has iridescent purple glitter that glows when the light hits it. I love the effect of the jelly and the glitter, but unfortunately it's difficult to spread out due to all the glitter. This was three coats on its own, but I recommend layering one to two coats over a dark midnight blue.

Hydraxia is a very sheer teal-based polish with blue shimmer and teal, blue and gold glitter. It's definitely meant to be layered over a base polish - a lighter one would work, but I think it's absolutely stunning over a darker base. This is 1 coat over Essie After School Boy Blazer. Application was very smooth and the glitter payoff was excellent.

Snapvine is a teal green crelly with fuchsia, lime green, and neon green hexes. It's definitely a unique colour combination, I don't recall seeing anything quite like this! Application was great - it goes on very smooth, and the glitter is perfectly suspended. This was 3 coats.

Winter Hyacinth was on my wishlist for months, so imagine how ecstatic I was when it was sent for review!! This is a robin egg blue crelly with fuschia and pink circles and hexes, and white hexes and diamonds. Like Snapvine, the application was absolutely even and the glitter was perfectly suspended. Also there was no need to fish out any glitter. This was three easy coats. It definitely lives up to all the hype!

Overall, I really love these polishes. Bottle of Infinite Stars was the only one that gave me a bit of trouble, but layering it over another polish will fix the issue. Plus the polish will last longer that way! ;) I was very impressed with how well the two crelly polishes applied, since that is not always the case with crellies.

Femme Fatale Cosmetics polishes are available from their website. A list of stockists can be found here. You can also keep up with Femme Fatale Cosmetics on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Any of these calling out to you!? Have you tried Femme Fatale Cosmetics polishes?

    1. I couldn't agree more! I think it's the dark base that makes Hydraxia so amazeballs, I'm curious to see it over a lighter base. :)
