Hi everyone...TGIF!! It's no secret that when it comes to indie polishes, Lynnderella is the most expensive brand out there. At the same time, there are very few bloggers - that I know of at least - that review these polishes on a regular basis. The high prices, coupled with the infrequent blogger reviews, can make the decision to purchase these polishes a challenge. Not for diehard Lynnderella fans, but rather for people for whom buying a Lynnderella is a *big deal*.
I'll admit I cannot afford every collection, but when I can afford these polishes, and in particular entire collections, I will make sure to show them. I feel that there are people out there who want to research these kinds of purchases.

Lynnderella Everything's Coming Up Neon |
Everything's Coming Up Neon was the spring collection from this year, and taps into the huge trend of neon glitter. At first I was unsure of how I felt about the polishes in this collection, but later they grew on me and I decided to splurge for all eight. I'm glad I did, because I feel that these have a unique take on the neon trend that sets them apart from other indies.
The application on all of these was great. You do have to shake them up first in order to get a good mixture of glitter - especially the larger pieces. But otherwise the glitter payoff is great for every single one.
Beleaf is Magic has a slightly green tinted base with tiny green glitter; larger green, yellow and neon green hexes; small red hexes; and red bars. There is also a smattering of tiny blue glitters. This is one coat over Essie The More the Merrier. I have to say this is my least favourite of the collection. It is not the colour, but rather the lack of complexity that leaves something to be desired with this polish.

Bird Brain Blue is one of two polishes that has a pastel-coloured base. The pale blue base is quite sheer, so it needs to be layered, but tends to look best over a matching base. This is two coats over Sinful Colors Sugar Rush. Aside from the blue base, there's a gorgeous electric blue shimmer, a mix of neon glitter (blue, pink, yellow, green and purple), blue metallic glitter, and pastel blue glitter. There's also a variety of shapes including hexes, squares, bars, diamonds, stars, butterflies and flowers. It's really an excellent mixture, but is not as glitter dense as the others. The base is also a quite thin, so it wants to flood the cuticles.

Candy Blossom is one of the stand-outs of the collection, especially if you like pink, like I do. It has a clear base with a very sweet mixture of pastel pink, white, neon pink, neon green, and neon yellow. The glitter is mainly hexes and squares, with a few stars, butterflies, and flowers. It also has a pink shimmer and hot pink micro-glitter that really adds to the polish. This is two coats over Models Own Lemon Meringue.

Crocus Pocus was the first one I bought from the collection, I showed it previously in my
Rhinestone Skittle Manicure. It has periwinkle, light pink, lavender, white, neon purple, and iridescent blue glitter with a lavender/blue shimmer in a clear base. There's hexes, squares, moons and stars. This is one coat over Essie Rock the Boat.

Eggstra Pretty! is another pastel-coloured base. The milky pale pink base has a lilac/pink shimmer and a *crazy* mixture of glitter: black, white, red, blue and a variety of neon colours (yellow, green, pink, and purple mainly), that come in squares, hexes, bars, flowers and butterflies. This was two coats over Models Own Pastel Pink.

Her Name is Petal is another stand-out in the collection owing to the very fun mixture of colours. There's too many colours to name but you have matte pastel, neon, white, and bright metallic glitters in hexes, squares, diamonds, circles, flowers and bars. It's another clear-based polish with a blue/pink shimmer.

Sugar Bunny has a clear base with an iridescent shimmer. The glitter is predominantly satin white, with a generous helping of neon glitter in a range of colours. The shapes are mainly hexes, squares, and some diamonds, bars and moons. This is one coat over Misa Peach Passion.

Très Chic, Duckie Dear has a clear base with a vibrant pink shimmer and yellow, orange, red, pink, and fuchsia glitter. The shapes are mostly squares, hexes, and bars. This was one coat over Misa Lovely Lychee. I wasn't sure about this polish owing to the overall orange colour, but when layered over the right polish, it can be quite beautiful.

Whew! That was a lot!! Two things that I love about this collection. First, the fun colours that really do brighten your day. And second, the complexity of each polish. In each one you will see a stunning mixture of shimmer, with matte, satin, metallic and neon glitter. Despite the variety of glitter, the combinations really work well together. My favourites are Candy Blossom, Her Name is Petal, Sugar Bunny, and Crocus Pocus.
I bought these on the
Lynnderella eBay store, but Lynnderella is also available from
Norway Nails.
What do you think of these? Any stand out?
It is super! I liked the Lynnderella Sugar Bunny, Lynnderella Eggstra Pretty!, Lynnderella Crocus Pocus!
ReplyDeleteIt is a pity that in our city, these coatings do not buy)
Those are great choices. I'm not sure what you mean by the last part but if you're wondering where to buy them, you can probably get them from Norway Nails. :)
DeleteEggstra pretty is so lovely! These are great swatches!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! And Eggstra Pretty is lovely, I agree.
DeleteThese are gorgeous - I'll have to see if I can get them in France :)
ReplyDeleteNorway Nails! They ship to Europe, including France! :D
DeleteThese are all beautiful and very unique. I don't own any Lynderellas because I do find them expensive and I haven't seen one yet that made me go "I NEED IT". It is true that there aren't as many reviews on them so that could have something to do with it. I do like to try new [to me] brands so I might just have to look them up and buy one to try.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. My problem is that a lot of polishes speak to me! Haha!! Before I made my first purchase I checked out a lot of reviews and swatches. You might want to check out the blog More Nail Polish, she has a Lynnderella guide with lots of swatches: http://www.morenailpolish.com/p/lynnderella-colour-guide.html
Deletegreat post! i only have birdbrain blue and candy blossom from this collection but this definitely made me want a few more!
ReplyDeleteThose are great ones! But yes, you definitely need a few more!! ;)
DeleteWoow they are gorgeous and unique colors! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lippylash, I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
Deleteочень красиво
ReplyDeleteUmmm... thanks! I think.
DeleteIMO I think it's ridiculous how people spend so much money on Lynn's. They look like polishes a five year old would wear. She's run out of coherent ideas and has just started blending together all types of shaped glitters and it looks a mess.
ReplyDeleteThat is not to say, that your swatches aren't lovely. I just don't have a soft spot for her polishes.
I understand your criticisms and they are valid points. I think whether or not the polish looks cohesive and looks like something a five year old would wear is a matter of personal taste and preferences. There are some Lynnderellas that I really don't care for, and others that I like very, very much. There are some people who will acquire all the Lynnderellas just because it's that brand, and I don't really agree with that at all.
