Serum No. 5 Sky Lights

Hi everyone! I have another first for this blog...my first glow-in-the-dark polish! Victoria of Serum No. 5 sent this polish to me along with a few others, but I was so nervous about photographing a glow-in-the-dark polish that I really procrastinated on this. I'm so sorry Victoria!! If you missed my previous review of Serum No. 5 polishes, you can find that here.

Serum No. 5 Sky Lights

Even without its glow-in-the-dark properties, Sky Lights is a beautiful polish. It's a very sheer off-white polish with an iridescent shimmer. Some glow-in-the-dark polishes are meant to be worn on their own, but this is definitely a layering polish, and I can see it looking good over pretty much anything.

For these swatches I layered one generous coat over OPI Vant to Bite My Neck? I did a tape mani so that you could see how it changes the base polish. The formula was perfect and I had no issues with this polish.

In the dark, it glows a beautiful blue, it's really quite stunning. It wasn't a strong glow, but I imagine that if I used 2-3 coats, then it might be stronger. I was somewhat able to capture how it glows in the dark, but it's actually a bit stronger than you see in my photo. I'm still getting used to photographing polishes like this.

Overall, I think it's a really fun polish to have. I like that it looks great during the day and at night in the dark. I can also see how having a glow-in-the-dark polish could be fun for doing nail art. I have one more glow-in-the-dark polish to review and I want to do something special with it. :)

Serum No. 5 is available through their website and Etsy store, as well as Mei Mei's Signatures. This polish is also available through Overall Beauty, and Serum No. 5 will be launching soon on Harlow & Co.. Keep up to date with Serum No. 5 by Facebook and Instagram (@serumno5).

  1. I like how it looks like a shimmer topper, and then lights up in the dark.

    1. I like that as well! Not all glow-in-the-dark polishes look great when the lights are on.

    1. Glad you liked it, and fortunately it's not too hard to get - it's carried by several distributors. And thanks for the kind words about my blog! :)
