Jindie Nails Matte Velvet Duo: Hot Pink Floyd and sTEALth, Swatches and Review

Hi everyone! I have two more new releases from Jindie Nails. This time it's two matte finish polishes that are part of an ongoing series called Matte Velvet Polishes. According to the Jindie Nails website, these polishes are limited edition and will be replaced with other matte polishes.

I really love what Jen, the creator, has done here. The colours of these two polishes are gorgeous, and the glitter and shimmer added complements each one perfectly. Both polishes look great with a matte finish and with a top coat.

Swatches are shown both with and without a top coat (indicated in the captions).

Hot Pink Floyd is a bright, hot pink jelly that dries to a matte finish. It also has a pink shimmer and small hex and square iridescent glitter. I used three coats here, and as you can see there's still some visible nail line, however, it was less prominent in real life than in these photos. Otherwise the application was good and there weren't any problems.

Adding a top coat really accentuates the jelly-like quality of the polish and it has a very "squishy" look. I love it!

sTEALth is a gorgeous teal-coloured jelly with what appears to be a pink and teal shimmer, and small hex and square iridescent glitter. The shimmer looks like micro-flakes and overall this polish is very stunning - the colour, the finish, everything! I believe this was also three coats, but I'll admit I forgot to make a note of this when I took these photos. :/ Application was also good on this one and there were no issues to report.

One thing that I like about both polishes is that they have a very smooth finish - no streaking or unevenness. That's important if you are going to be wearing these without a top coat. However, if you are used to using a very quick-dry top coat (like Seche Vite) you will have to wait a bit longer for these to dry. The dry time is not slow, but it's not as quick as some other matte polishes I've tried.

These polishes are available on the Jindie Nails website (currently out of stock) and from Llarowe. Jindie Nails is also available from Harlow & Co.Ninja Polish,  Femme Fatale Cosmetics, and Mei Mei's Signatures. Follow Jindie Nails on Facebook and Instagram (@jindienails) for updates and new releases.

What do you think of these? Do you like the matte finish or do you prefer them with a top coat?
