I have another instalment of my sister's nails. If you missed the last post you can see it here. I'm thinking that this will be a regular series, that is, as long as my sister wants to come over and have me do her nails! I was only able to get iPhone photos, and it was starting to get dark, so they are not as clear as I would like. But I enjoy showing you photos of nails I've done on someone else. And it's a nice change of pace. :)

Simple spring skittlette |
Since neither of us were up for a marathon manicure session, we decided on a simple skittle manicure with a lighter spring palette. It was fun to discuss ideas with her and pull out polishes to see what she liked, didn't like, etc.

For this design, I used OPI My Vampire is Buff on all nails except the accent nails. For that I used Zoya NYX (from the Pixie Dust collection). The glitter is Lumina Lacquer Anything, and the freehand painting was done with OPI Suzi's Hungary Again! and You're Such a BudaPest.
I love how simple and fun this was, and I can't get enough of mix and match nails! :)
What do you think? Hope you don't mind the change of blog format every now and then!
Hi Meghan, what a great Skittelette!!! Those are my favs to look at and to do!!! Beautiful freehand stripes and hearts and wonderful color combination. I think the pictures are great and taking photos of someone elses hands gives so many more new angles - I love it <3
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Christine! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I agree regarding taking pictures of someone else, it's nice to show a full mani, but I can't photograph both my hands. I know others do it, but they must have a good set up with a tripod. :/
DeleteCuteness :)
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks! <3
DeleteBeautiful mani, and the colours are great together!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried a skittle manicure yet, but it's on my list. There are so many things on my list!
Thanks Chantal, and you must do a skittle/mix n' match mani, they are the best kind. No need to decide what polish or technique you want to use, haha! ;)
DeleteAhhh it all matches so well!! Very cute manicure!
ReplyDeleteThank you Paigerie! We kinda just planned it on the fly, so I'm happy that it works. :)
DeleteI love mani time with my sister. :) She goes to college about an hour away & only comes home to work on the weekends, so she doesn't always have time, but when she does we enjoy sharing ideas & hanging out too. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's something that my sister and I just started doing, but I love hanging out with her even more than getting the practice in. It's great that you and your sister can do that together as well. :) And thank you for all the lovely comments on my blog.
