Girly Bits Spring It On Me! Collection Swatches and Review

Hi everyone! I have three out of the five polishes from the new Girly Bits spring collection to show you. Girly Bits was one of the first indies that I started collecting, and I've always been impressed by what Pam comes out with. I find the polishes to be consistent in terms of superior quality and unique colours and glitters. So when Pam sent me three for review, I was over the moon. There's two more polishes in the collection, the Emerald City Duo, which look fantastic. I haven't seen swatches online yet, but hopefully someone will review them soon.

Girly Bits (l-r) Spring It On Me!, Going Bananas, and Bachelor's Button

This collection does a good job of keeping with a spring theme but without the overwhelming pastels that we've been seeing lately. Also, there's something here for everyone - cremes (and cremes/jellies), shimmer/glitter toppers, and a holo.

Bachelor's Button is a cornflower blue with a medium linear holo. The colour on this is gorgeous and I love the holographic shimmer. The formula was perfect and I used two coats over a ridge-filling base coat. These swatches are without top coat, however, I would recommend one when you wear it.

I'm still learning how to photograph holos, so the holo effect is a bit stronger than you see in the photos here.

Going Bananas is a creamy yellow base packed with hex and square glitter of different sizes and colours: green, lime green, purple, yellow, and fuchsia. I'm not usually a fan of yellow, but I really love the colours in this one, and it's so much fun to have on! I used two coats here and the formula was perfect. I had no problems getting plenty of glitter out, including the larger fuchsia squares that I love.

Spring It On Me! is a very versatile polish. It's meant to be layered over another polish and looks good over a variety of colours. It has a sheer lavender base with tiny green hex glitter, small silver, lavender and pink hexes, and white squares and hexes of different sizes. I layered two coats over Models Own Utopia and Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet. I found the glitter coverage to be very good and I love the colour scheme on this one.

Overall, I love the colours in this collection, and I'm impressed with the formula on all three of them. They are all wonderful, but I would have to say that Going Bananas and Bachelor's Button are my favourites. The Emerald City Duo looks awesome, and I'm seriously considering buying those to complete the collection!

These polishes are available directly through the Girly Bits shop, or you can find a list of authorized distributors here. Make sure to keep up with Girly Bits on Facebook and Instagram (@girlybitscosmetics).

What do you think of these? Do you have any Girly Bits polishes?
