Pahlish This New Sun

Hi everyone! I have a short post tonight. This New Sun is part of a small collection that Pahlish put out for Valentine's Day. Because of a shipping mix up with some polishes I ordered over the holidays, Shannon, the maker, added this to my order to make up for the error. The collection is made up of three jelly-based glitter bombs: in addition to This New Sun, there is a red and violet polish. I chose the orange one because I'm trying to go out of my comfort zone with colours and finishes that I normally wouldn't gravitate towards.

I'm glad I did choose this one, it's so beautiful, which is unexpected given my general aversion to orange polish. This New Sun is a transparent orange jelly base with orange microglitter, small orange hex glitter, and small holo hex glitter. The colour overall is a rich golden/burnt orange and the holo glitter adds a nice splash of colour. It's very vibrant, even in low light.

The consistency and formula was perfect, and I had no problems applying this one. I used two coats for the photos here.

This polish is available through the Pahlish Etsy shop, and is currently in stock. And good news for international customers, Shannon has implemented flat rate shipping, $8 for Canada and $11 for other international orders. So unless you only like to order one or two polishes at a time, you will be saving on shipping. I highly recommend Pahlish, both for the excellent service and the beautiful polishes.

What do you think of this? Do you own any Pahlish?

  1. I'm ususally not a fan of orange, but this is so shiny and vibrant! I also love the brand name, hehe

    1. I love the brand name as well! It's actually a play on Shannon's last name, Pahlas, and polish. Clever, eh!? :)

  2. I don't really wear oranges very often but this one looks really nice and wearable. I think it'll be great for summer since it's so vibrant.

    1. I'm glad you like it. I think it will be a very nice summer colour. :) I don't really wear oranges either, but I'm happy that I made an exception for this one.
