Fanchromatic Nails Horse Lord and The Man In the Moon

Hi everyone! I haven't shown any Fanchromatic Nails polishes for awhile, so I'm going to change that! I got these two polishes over the holidays, but I didn't get a chance to try them until recently. I really liked both of them, and they're totally unique in my collection!

Horse Lord is from the Seven Kingdoms collection, based on the Game of Thrones. I'm not familiar with Game of Thrones but Lynae, the maker, explains: "This polish pays tribute to one of my favorite characters, Khal Drogo, with the earthy colors of his homeland, the blue of his tattoos, and the red of his battle scars." It's a caramel brown polish packed with loads of glitter - tiny and small hexes in pale avocado green, teal blue, gold, red, and maroon. It's a nice neutral with splashes of colour. What is interesting is that the colours almost seem to clash with each other. It's definitely not a feminine or girly polish, but that's what I like about Lynae's creations.

The formula on this one was good. It has a lot of glitter so it was a bit of a challenge to apply, and I ended up adding some thinner, which I do with a lot of my indie polishes. I used three coats plus a top coat to smooth it out.

The Man In the Moon is from the Shake Some Dust collection, based on the show Carnivale. It has a sheer white base with tiny silver and blue hexes, and larger pale blue hexes. It also has a gorgeous iridescent silver shimmer that looks like teeny tiny flakies. The formula was good and I used three coats here. It doesn't always level, but a coat of Gelous and top coat will smooth it out.
