Jindie Nails Live Out Loud

Happy New Year everyone! Does anyone plan to make some New Year's resolutions? I normally make a list divided into several areas (school, personal, health, etc.) but right now I'm not feeling it. I'm also a procrastinator, so my resolutions are usually done a few weeks after the new year. Maybe I should resolve not to procrastinate this year! ;)

I'm kicking off the New Year with a review and swatches of Jindie Nails Live Out Loud. This is a new release by Jindie Nails - I was surprised to get this as a freebie with my last order. I was fortunate as well, because I was planning to order this anyway.

Jindie Nails has a lot of different types of polishes, but the ones that attract me the most are the "crellies," those that are semi-opaque with a finish in between a creme and a jelly. Live Out Loud fits into the crelly category, and like the others doesn't disappoint.

To start, Live Out Loud has a beautiful, smooth white base that provides enough coverage with two coats (although there is still a bit of VNL peaking through) but is sheer enough that the glitter from the first coat is still visible. There is a nice contrast between glitter suspended in the layers of white polish, trying to peak through, and glitter that floats on the surface of the polish.

There is a beautiful mixture of glitter in a variety of colours, and to me, this polish has a cheerful appeal. There's medium-sized round glitter in gold, pale pink, fuchsia, blue, and green, as well as teeny tiny hex and square glitter in blue, pink, and purple. The round glitter definitely steals the show and I find the inclusion of this type of glitter to be very unique.

The formula on this was excellent. Like I do for many glitter polishes, I let it sit upside down for awhile, and I also rolled it between my palms before applying, to ensure that I was able to get enough glitter. However, I'm not sure these steps were necessary, and there is good glitter payoff whether you do these things or not. The tricky part of applying is to make sure that you brush it on just right. I had to be careful that I didn't end up with clumps of excess glitter, or that I didn't spread it so much that I took the glitter off. Overall, I was pleased with the application.

Jindie Nails Live Out Loud

Live Out Loud is available through Jindie Nails Etsy store, but the store is closed right now until the next restock. This was my first order with Jindie Nails and so far I'm very impressed, both with the polishes and the customer service. Jen (the maker of Jindie Nails) seems genuinely concerned that her customers are satisfied and that everyone who wants to buy her polishes (especially the popular ones like Candy Land) are able to get them.

Do you own any Jindie Nails? Do you like this polish?

    1. Hi Dujour! Thanks for visiting my blog and subscribing, I will check out yours as well. :)

Unfortunately I'm not going to swap this one yet, I'm probably going to be using it again. But the Jindie Nails shop should be reopening soon, and I believe they ship international.
